Friend Zabud Award

Encouraging education, mentorship, and continued growth in the Cryptic Rite.

The Friend Zabud Award provides an opportunity to mentor, encourage, and recognize Companions who are newly Greeted or have recently renewed their commitment to Cryptic Masonry.

Through a structured program of participation and learning, Companions are guided toward greater involvement while building lasting knowledge, friendships, and service within the Council.

Eligibility

Open to Cryptic Companions
Completion of established program requirements
Designed for newly Greeted or re-energized members
Recognizes continued participation and Cryptic service

Ordering Information

Passports may be ordered by anyone.
The completed award must be ordered through the Grand Recorder of your jurisdiction.
The award is presented after successful completion of the requirements.

Journey to Recognition

Receive

Obtain your Friend Zabud Passport.

Complete

Work through each requirement while receiving guidance from experienced Companions.

Verify

Have each completed requirement signed by the appropriate Brother or Companion.

Recognition

Submit the completed Passport through your Grand Recorder to receive the Friend Zabud Award.

The Friend Zabud Passport

The Passport serves as a convenient pocket-sized companion throughout the program. It contains the award requirements and provides space for each completed activity to be verified by an approved Brother or Companion, creating a permanent record of the Companion's journey.

A Lasting Recognition

Upon successful completion of the program, the Grand Recorder's Office may order the official Friend Zabud Award, consisting of the Friend Zabud Lapel Pin and the beautifully designed Friend Zabud Certificate, signed by the Most Illustrious Grand Master and attested and sealed by the Grand Recorder.

Purpose of the Program

The Friend Zabud Award is more than a recognition program. It is a mentoring initiative that encourages participation, strengthens education, develops lasting friendships, and helps Companions become active and engaged members of the Cryptic Rite throughout their Masonic journey.
